Accessibility Statement

Essential-OMT built this website with accessibility in mind, following the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. Our goal is for every visitor — including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, or other assistive technology — to be able to find what they need here.

How This Site Was Built

Screen Readers & Assistive Technology

Pages use proper language tagging and semantic structure, so screen readers and other assistive technology read content in the order it's meant to be read.

Clear Labels

Menus, buttons, and links are labeled descriptively, so you can navigate without guessing where something leads.

Images

Images include descriptive alt text, so visitors using a screen reader or other visual aid understand what's being shown.

Keyboard Navigation

This site can be fully navigated using a keyboard alone — no mouse required.

Text & Contrast

Text and background colors meet WCAG contrast requirements, and text can be resized in your browser without breaking the layout.

Video & Audio

Any video or audio content on this site includes visible playback controls.

A Note on Third-Party Content

Some elements on this site — such as embedded forms and maps — are rendered by platform code we do not control and may change without notice, so they may not always meet the same accessibility standards as the rest of the site.

Accessibility Audit Log

We review this site against the WCAG 2.2 Level AA success criteria every six months, and after any significant redesign. Each review is recorded below.

September 28, 2026 — Full site audit

Issues found and corrected:

  • 1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum) — the brand teal did not provide enough contrast for text. White text on teal measured 4.06:1 and teal text on light backgrounds measured 4.08–4.31:1, all below the 4.5:1 minimum. The teal was deepened so these pairings now measure between 4.8:1 and 6.4:1.
  • 2.4.7 Focus Visible — links and buttons had no visible keyboard focus indicator. A 3px focus ring was added to every interactive element across all pages.
  • 1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum) — the contact card on the referral page was translucent over a moving video, which left its text contrast indeterminate. The card was made near-opaque so contrast is now fixed and measurable.
  • 2.5.8 Target Size (Minimum) — the phone and email rows on the referral card were under 24px tall. They were given a 24px minimum height.

Checked and conformant: image text alternatives (1.1.1), heading structure (1.3.1), link and button names (2.4.4, 4.1.2), ARIA references and unique IDs (4.1.1, 4.1.2), reflow without horizontal scrolling (1.4.10), and reduced-motion support for every animation (2.3.3).

Known exception: phone and email links that sit inside a sentence are smaller than 24px. WCAG 2.2 exempts inline targets whose size is constrained by the surrounding line height, so these conform as written.

Outside our control: embedded forms and maps are rendered by platform code we do not control and can change without notice. See “A Note on Third-Party Content” above.
